Delivery Mode
Working at Heights training is delivered face-to-face in a classroom and practical training environment.
The course combines trainer-led theory sessions with hands-on practical exercises to ensure students develop the required skills to work safely at heights.
Training includes instruction on hazard identification, risk control measures, and the correct use of fall protection equipment. Practical activities are conducted in a simulated workplace environment using industry-standard equipment.
Students must attend the full session and actively participate in both theoretical and practical components to successfully complete the course and achieve competency.
Assessment Requirements
To successfully complete Working at Heights training, students must demonstrate competency through both theoretical and practical assessments in accordance with industry standards.
Assessment methods include:
A knowledge assessment (e.g. multiple-choice and short-answer questions)
Practical demonstration of working at height safety procedures
Correct use of fall protection equipment, including harness fitting, inspection, and attachment procedures
Participation in simulated workplace scenarios involving hazard identification and risk control
Students must demonstrate safe work practices and the ability to follow correct procedures at all times. All assessment tasks must be completed satisfactorily to achieve competency.
If a student is assessed as not yet competent, they may be provided with an opportunity for reassessment in accordance with the training provider’s policies.
