This course includes:
HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Students will develop practical skills to:
• Perform CPR on adults, children and infants
• Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Respond to asthma emergencies
• Manage anaphylaxis and allergic reactions
• Treat burns and wounds
• Control bleeding
• Manage fractures and soft tissue injuries
• Respond to medical emergencies
• Provide First Aid until professional help arrives
Participants must:
• Provide 100pts of identification
• Hold a valid USI (Unique Student Identifier)
• Complete any required pre-course learning
• Attend the full practical session
• Successfully complete all assessment requirements
Students should possess sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete the course requirements.
USI Requirements (Compulsory requirement)
All students undertaking nationally recognised training must have a USI (Unique Student Identifier) prior to attending our course. If you do not have a USI, you MUST apply for a USI here www.usi.gov.au

Assessment Requirements
To successfully complete First Aid and CPR training, students must demonstrate competency through both written and practical assessments in line with nationally recognised training standards.
Assessment methods include:

A knowledge assessment (multiple-choice questions)

Practical demonstration of CPR techniques on a manikin

Practical first aid scenarios, including responding to medical emergencies
Students must demonstrate correct performance of all required skills in accordance with current Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
All assessment tasks must be completed satisfactorily for competency to be achieved. If a student is assessed as not yet competent, they may be given the opportunity for reassessment in accordance with the training provider’s policies.
Is CPR Included in the First Aid Course?
Yes. CPR training is fully included in the First Aid Course.
Students complete HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation as part of HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.
