Traffic Control Course Terms & Conditions

This document (together with any documents referred to in it) tells you the terms and conditions (the 'Conditions') upon which we will sell the Services to you. You may print a copy for future reference.


Business Day: a day other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday when banks in NSW are open for business.
Services: means the Services listed on our website ('the Website') which we may supply.


Before booking your service, please read through these Conditions and in particular our cancellations and rescheduling policy and limitation of our liability and your indemnity.

By booking any of the Services, you agree to be legally bound by these Conditions. You will be unable to proceed with your transaction if you do not accept these terms and conditions.


We will inform you of any additional costs as soon as possible after you have booked your service. If you do not wish to pay these costs you may cancel your booking. If you wish to continue with the booking you must confirm to us that you will pay these additional costs before your course date. If we do not receive this confirmation from you within this time period, we will treat you as having cancelled your booking.

Pricing

All prices are in AUD and while we try to make sure all prices are current and accurate, we reserve the right to make adjustments and changes without notice. 

Start Times and Pre-attendance Requirements

ALL courses (training component) commence at 8:30am SHARP. If you are not at the training centre and presenting to reception (office) at 8:30am then you will be recorded as “no show” and your booking will be cancelled. There can be NO exceptions to this rule – you will have to rebook for your course and pay the full fee again. You will be advised about your assessment starting times and locations during your training course.

In the event you are running late, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER so participants are strongly urged to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the advertised/informed starting time. and there will be no refunds. You will have to book again. Calling us in the morning to tell us that you will be late will not change these terms, except in extreme situations and by approval from management (a traffic jam is NOT an extreme situation).

SafeWork NSW Identification Requirements

You MUST bring sufficient ORIGINAL documentation to provide 100 points of ID to both your course AND your assessment.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE YOU BRING 100 PTS OF ID as per SafeWork NSW guidelines as provided elsewhere on our website.

  • If you do not provide sufficient ID on the day of your course, you CANNOT take part in the course on that day and will need to reschedule to another available course for a fee of $100 per course ($150 for Combo course).

  • If you do not provide sufficient ID on the day of your assessment you CANNOT be assessed on that day and will need to reschedule to another available assessment for a fee of $25 per assessment.

All courses have a pre-attendance component.

If you do not receive your login details, then IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT US AS PER YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL. PLEASE CHECK YOUR JUNK MAIL FIRST. NOT RECEIVING AN EMAIL IS NOT GROUNDS FOR A REFUND OR FREE RESCHEDULE.

  • If you cannot access a computer, then please speak to us about print options BEFORE you book

  • In order to have a fair chance at completing this course your English reading, writing and speaking skills must be at least average or higher. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the minimum Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) requirements for this course before you book. We can assist you with this by providing you with a sample of the text or by providing you with a LLN assessment. Please contact us before you book. If you meet the minimum requirements but you have difficulty with English, then this course may take you longer than the nominal (usual) duration advertised and thus the course may be more expensive.

  • The pre-attendance requirement includes the need to read and attempt to understand the learning resources provided on booking. If the resources are not read prior to attending, participants may find it difficult to keep up with the trainer who assumes that the participant has at least read this material.

Cancellations for training courses

  • If a booking is cancelled by you with more than 7 days’ notice, we will refund any fees paid. Refunds may take up to 7days to process and then a few more days to appear in your account.

  • If you cancel one of two courses booked as a combo then any eligible refund will be the total fee less the full fee of the course you want to attend (not the discounted combo course fee). If you cancel within 7 days then you will lose all fees paid.

  • If you cancel within 7 days, then you will lose all fees paid.

  • If you do not turn up on the day (or days for combo courses) then you lose all fees paid, even if you contact us on the day or the night before as this falls outside the required notice periods.

  • H & H Training Academy reserves the right to cancel a course (and assessments) due to unforeseen circumstances. Should this occur, any fees paid will be refunded in full, or you may reschedule with no additional fees. In such cases, H & H Training Academy's liability will be limited to the amount of fee paid.

Reschedules for training courses

  • If you wish to reschedule with more than 7 days’ notice, then there is no fee. This applies once only. For a second reschedule (with 7 days’ notice), a $100 reschedule fee applies. You may not reschedule a third time, you will lose all fees paid and have to pay the full course fee to book.

  • If you wish to reschedule with less than 7 days but more than 72 hours’ notice, then there is a $50 rescheduling fee - this must be paid to secure your booking.

  • You cannot reschedule with less than 72 hours’ notice - you will lose any fees paid and have to rebook your course and pay all fees again.

  • Combo courses - You can reschedule day 2 after beginning day 1 for a fee of $100 if you notify us before the end of Day 1 (before 5:00pm)

  • If you are required to reschedule your course due to illness, you must notify us on the day and a medical certificate must be supplied by the close of business on that day and a fee of $50 is payable for each course ($100 for combo if both days are to be rescheduled). There are no refunds applicable if you cancel due to illness (unless in extreme circumstances by approval of the management)

Identification & USI

Students MUST present original identification documents (Passport, Licence, Medicare Card, Bank Card etc). Failure to do so means you will not be able to commence the course unless you present original documentation. 

Privacy

Use of personal data:
You authorise us to process and transmit your name, address and other personal information supplied by you (including updated information) to

  • obtain information from third parties about you, including, but not limited to, credit reports and so that we may authenticate your identity

  • supply the Services to you

  • carry out checks to ensure you have adequate funds and fulfil security and fraud prevention requirements

  • transmit the payment and delivery information provided by you during the order process (included any updated information) for the purpose of obtaining authorisation from your card issuer or PayPal

  • validate your name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases including the card issuer, registered credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies, USI office and SafeWork
