If you want to work in a bar, restaurant, club, bottle shop, or any venue that serves alcohol, completing an RSA course is mandatory in New South Wales. Our RSA Sydney course provides the nationally recognised training required to legally serve alcohol and comply with NSW liquor laws.

 

This Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course is designed for anyone entering the hospitality industry or needing to update their qualifications. The training covers how to responsibly serve alcohol, identify intoxication, prevent underage drinking, and understand your legal responsibilities when working in licensed venues.

 

Our RSA course in Sydney combines practical learning with real-world hospitality scenarios, making it easy to understand the responsibilities of alcohol service. Once completed, you will receive the official qualification required to work in licensed venues across NSW.

Course Outcomes

​After successfully completing the RSA course, students will:

  • SITHFAB021-Provide responsible service of alcohol

  • Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment

  • Liquor & Gaming NSW interim RSA Certificate

  • RSA Competency  card (mailed by Liquor & Gaming NSW)

  • Understand NSW liquor laws and compliance requirements

  • Learn how to responsibly serve alcohol in licensed venues

  • Identify signs of intoxication and refuse service appropriately

  • Prevent the service of alcohol to minors

  • Manage difficult situations involving intoxicated patrons

  • Promote a safe drinking environment

  • Receive the nationally recognised RSA certification required to work in Sydney and NSW

This qualification allows you to work in a wide range of hospitality venues including pubs, bars, restaurants, clubs, and bottle shops.

Course Duration

The RSA course is designed to be completed in a single day.

 

Course Duration: Approximately 6 hours

 

This includes training, practical examples, and the required assessment.

Once completed, students will receive their certificate, allowing them to apply for their NSW competency card and start working in licensed venues.

Course Requirements

RTO: Training on behalf of Teach International PTY LTD - RTO 31165

Teach International Pty Ltd (RTO 31165) is a Registered Training Organisation approved to deliver nationally recognised training in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework and regulated by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).

All nationally recognised training courses promoted by H&H Training are delivered and assessed by Teach International Pty Ltd (RTO 31165).

Upon successful completion, students will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment issued by Teach International Pty Ltd (RTO 31165).
